Pierce Brosnan 主演の泥棒映画を見た。Pierceの最近の映画では一番良かったかも。残念ですが、もう007には出ないんだよねぇ。Pierceはアイルランド出身、52歳。一人目の奥さんは結婚１１年後に子宮癌で亡くなった。２人目の奥さんは若くて美人なジャーナリスト。２０年以上もアメリカに住み、アメリカの国籍も取っている。2003年には、イギリスの女王、エリザベス２世はＯＢＥ(Order of the British Empire)という、勲章を表彰した。女王、良い選択！ Pierce Brosnan played the leading role in this thief film. Monster Tsukushi…

リッチモンド（バンクーバーの南）に住んでいる私の母上がつくしの写真を送ってくれた。こっちのつくしは、モンスターサイズ。ヴィクトリアで見つけたとき、カナダ人の友達にこれ日本では食べるんよと教えると、「じゃ、今食べてくれ！」。料理しないと食べれません。うちの母上は大抵、佃煮にして食べさせてくれました。このつくしはでかすぎてまずいので、母上は料理しないそうです。 My mother who lives in Richmond (South of Vancouver) sent me the photo of Tsukushi. 元上司にお礼として、2004年ベストドキュメンタリー賞 by Chilco （←自分かよ！）に選ばれた、Touching the Void　（邦題：運命を分けたザイル）のDVDを送った。これはイギリス人登山家、サイモン・イェーツとジョー・シンプソンが1985年ペルーのアンデス山脈、標高6600ｍのシウラ・グランデ峰西壁を登った時に起こった本当の話。素晴らしい映画です。 I sent my ex boss a thank-you present. Trip to Victoria…

友達と自転車でヴィクトリアに行くつもりだった。土曜日の朝、５時半に起きたけど、雨ざーざー降り。天気予報を調べるとヴィクトリアの降水確率は１００％。雨の中自転車をこぐほど嫌なものはない、車で行くことに決定。ヴィクトリアには午前１０時半ぐらいに到着する。天気は。。。雨降ってへんやんかぁぁぁぁ！実際、週末ずっと降らんかった。自転車で来なかったことにひどく罪深く感じた。天気予報のばかやろうぉぉぉ。 We were going to go to Victoria with friends by bike. Good things in Taiwan.

大学で仲良かった友達が今台湾に住んでいる。彼女には台湾人のマッチョマンとの間に二人のキュートな息子さんがいる。彼女は長男くんが小さい時に、彼のためにこのひらがな・カタカナ表を作った。これって愛でしょ！思いやりのあるお母さんやで。涙。 My friend from university lives in Taiwan now. She has two cute sons with a Taiwanese macho man. When the first son was little, she made this Japanese alphabet table for him. This is love! Toughtful mum. Tears.

The Dominion Trust Building

Dominion Building はバンクーバーでめっちゃカッチョいい建物の一つだと思う。１９１０年に建てられ、当時は大英帝国で一番高い建物だったそうな。近くにミッドセンチュリー家具のお店、Metropolitan Homeがあるんだけど、今月からこの建物の一階に引越してくるんだってさ。 We think the Domining Building is one of the coolest buildings in Vancouver.
