Lake Louise

Invermereから北へ１時間車を走らせ、バンフ国立公園内にあるLake Louiseに行きました。この湖には氷河が溶けた水が流れ込むため、水がエメラルド色です。ルイーズ湖という名前はイギリスのビクトリア女王の娘、プリンセスルイーズから付けられました。

Trip to Inveremere, BC

       母とはBC州の最も東にあるInvermereに行きました。VancouverからInvermereまでは約830キロ。車で約12時間かかります。Invermereはロッキー山脈の麓にあります。地図の右上緑の部分がロッキー山脈です。下の衛星写真でみると岩山（ロッキー）であることが分かりますね。 My mother and I went to Invermere which is located at the very east of British Columbia. England fans in Vancouver…

先週の土曜日はワールドカップ、イングランドーポルトガル戦を観に行ってきました。試合はこちらの現地時間で午前７時半からでしたが、試合を見せてくれるパブが結構ありました。私達はバンクーバー図書館下のLibrary Square Public Houseに午前７時に行きましたが、既に行列が出来ていました。パブ開店時間には、入れなかった人がたくさんいたようです。パブに入って、イングランドの応援歌を歌い、興奮して観ましたが、結果はPK戦で負けてしまいましたね。ロナウドがゴールした時、パブは墓場のように静まり返っていました(T0T)。 今日はフランスーポルトガル戦を昼休みに観ました。フランスが勝ってとっても嬉しかったです。決勝戦、イタリアーフランス戦が楽しみです。 余談ですが、パブには俳優のAlessandro Julianiが来ていました。Battlestar GalacticaでLt. Critical Mass in Vancouver on June 30, 2006

バンクーバーのクリティカルマスに行ってきました。集合場所のバンクーバー美術館に到着した時はもう既にたくさんのサイクリスト達がいました。約3,600人以上のサイクリストがこのイベントに参加したそうです。 We went to the Critical Mass in Vancouver. When I arrived at the assembly place, the Vancouver Art Gallery, there were already lots of cyclists.
