Gion, Kyoto

叔父さんがおされなディナーに連れて行ってくれました(T0T)。ここは三条御幸町の近くですが、この辺は私が京都の高校へ通っていた頃と較べて、とても変わっていました。 My uncle took me to a cool restaurant for dinner(T0T).  The restaurant is located near Sanjyo Gokoumachi but the neighbourhood changed so much from the time when I used to a high school nearby. 目に美しく、口に美味しいお料理でした。幸せな気分で、お店を出ると、叔父さんが、「じゃ、もう一軒一杯いこか？」と祇園に連れて行ってくれました。祇園で一番有名なお茶屋さん、「一力」の前で叔父さんが車を停めるとちょうど芸者さんがいました。 The dinner was delicious … Continue reading →

Kyoto, Japan

日本に帰りました。関西空港から京都の叔母の家までMK Taxiを使いました。タクシーは８人乗りのミニバンで、乗り換えとかしなくていいので楽チンでした。片道３,０００円。２時間程で懐かしい京都市内に着きました。車から写真を撮りました。といってもあまり京都らしくない写真ですが。。。 I went back to Japan.  I took a MK taxi from the Kansai airport to my aunt’s house in Kyoto.   The taxi was a mini van which you share with about 7 other people.  It was a very easy travel … Continue reading →

Zero 7

Busan

釜山は人口3.7百万人の韓国で２番目に大きい都市です。釜山はまたバンクーバーの姉妹都市でもあります。 仕事を終えて、夜は宮廷料理をご馳走になりました。韓国で視聴率５８％を出した「チャングムの誓い（英語では”Jewel in the Palace”だそうです。）」という、宮廷の生活を背景にしたドラマがあり、日本で放映され、宮廷料理の人気が高くなってきているようですね。宮廷料理は何十種類の料理が次から次へと運ばれてきます。私の場合は20種類も出てきました。 Busan is the second biggest city in South Korea with population of 3.7 million people. Seoul

12年ぶりのソウルです。ソウルは人口約１千万人。バンクーバーの５倍の人口ですね。宿泊先のホテルに到着して、まず最初にしたことは韓国のビールを飲んだことでした。韓国の3大ビール,　OB, Hite, Cass, を試した結果、Cassビールが私のお気に入りとなりました。  I visited Seoul 12 years ago. Seoul’s population is 1 million. 母は料理が上手です。この旅行でも腕を振るって、毎食１２人分のご飯を作りました。私も手伝いましたが、１２人分ってかなりの労力です。 My mum is good at cooking. She demonstrated her cooking skills in this trip. She cooked every meal for 12 people. The Rockies

久しぶりのブログ更新です。韓国、日本について書く前に、ロッキー山脈の写真を掲載します。ロッキー山脈は南北に4800キロメートルの長さだそうで、日本本州全長の3.5倍にあたります。でか！山の高さも富士山のような3000メートル級です。氷河期前にはこれらの山々は8000メートルもあったそうで、氷河が溶けだすと山々が氷河に削りとられて現在の形になったと地理に詳しいおじさんに教えてもらいました。 Long time no blog.
