Mac OSX v10.4 TIGER!

噂では新しいMac OSX TIGERが４月１日リリースされて、４月１５日から出荷されるとのこと！イエーイ！アップルは「2005年の前半期」と言及していたので、５月か６月にリリースされると思っていました。TIGERはかっちょいい機能が搭載されまくり。。。 コンピューターに入ってる全てのファイルを（Ｅメイル、写真、ドキュメントなど全部一緒に！）瞬間に検索できる、Spotlight機能 (iTuneの検索みたいな）。Windowsのファイル検索機能とは較べることができない速さ、Windowsはメイルを含む全部のファイルを検索するのは無理！ 反復作業をコンピューターに記憶させてやってもらう、Automator機能。例えば、ある友人のデジタル写真アルバムとかのリンクへ行き、写真をダウンロードしてアーカイブできる。一つ一つ保存しなくて良い。 ボタン一つでもう一つのデスクトップ に行くDashboard機能。ここには自分のお気に入りの”Widgets”と呼ばれるミニアプリケーションを置いておくことができる。Widgetsは色んな種類があって、天気予報、辞書、Unit converterとか魅力的♪Dashboardのアイコンもかわいい。 最高３人でビデオチャットできるiChat。画像もきれいだし。３Ｄ効果の画面がかっこよい。 待てへん！ It is rumored that the new Mac OSX TIGER is going to be released on April 1st, and will be shipped on April 15th! 私の元上司は芸術を愛する素敵なおじさんです。たくさんのミュージカルに連れて行ってくれたり、私とハニーをサイモン＆ガーファンクルのシアトルでのコンサートに招待して下さいました。彼がこの日本人芸術家、レオナルド藤田嗣治（つぐはる）の本を送ってくれました。表紙を見た時、この男性が明治時代の日本男児とは信じられませんでした。だって、イヤリング、ブレスレット、指輪をつけているんですもの！ My ex boss is a really nice guy who loves arts. Antony and the Johnsons at the Red Room

昨晩はAntony and the Johnsonsのライブを見に行った。場所は初めて行ったRed Room。小さいせいか、お客さんでぎゅうぎゅう詰め（Zulu recordの兄ちゃんもいたよ）。やっとこさ、座れる場所を探して、聞きに入る。しかぁし！バーの冷蔵庫の音、ウェイトレスがチップ勘定する音、ウェイターが話しする音、などのノイズで音楽が遮られる。Red Room最低。しかも、チップ勘定してたネーちゃんは、勘定後、その汚い手でお客さんにお酒作ってたし。きぃもぉ。という訳で全然楽しめなかったライブ。涙。Antony ごめん、君のせいじゃないんだよぉ。 Antony and the Johnsonsの音楽は全部静かな曲なので、今度ライブする時は是非、席に座ってくつろいで聞きたい。 I went to see Antony and the Johnsons last night. 金曜の夜は飲みに出かけた。「君ら、また飲みに行ったん？」と誰か言ってません？今回は行った事がないパブに行った。一番目はNelson Café. こじんまりとしたパブ。Granville Lagerのピッチャーが$12.50。ピッチャー(約１．７L）←はパイントグラス３杯分。イギリスでもカナダでもビール１杯注文するときは「パイント」で頼む。「ギネス一杯下さい」だと、”A pint of Guinness, please”となる。 We went out drinking on Friday night. ひな祭り　Girls' day…

３月３日は日本ではひな祭り、女の子の日である。こんなかわいい人形達がこのお祭りの象徴であって、王子さまとお姫様の昔の結婚式を見せてくれる。この習慣の詳細はウィキペディアへ。 March 3rd is Hina-matsuri, Girls’ day in Japan. This pretty dolls are the symbol of the festival, which shows an old Japanese wedding of a prince and a princess.
